Hi, I'm Hannah and I run the Purple Bobbin blog. I started this blog because I wanted to document my sewing journey and share what I find out along the way! I hope you can join in this journey with me and  hopefully you will find some of the stuff I post on here useful! My main passion lies in dressmaking. I love being able to create my own clothes, picking out the prettiest, high-quality fabric and beautiful patterns from my favourite independent brands. However I also love being creative in so many other ways from painting to crochet, so I may well post some other crafts on here. I have recently ordered some lovely yarn to attempt to knit a jumper so we'll see how that goes but it may make a blog appearance in the future.

When I'm not creating stuff as a hobby, I'm currently studying fashion at university, creating even more stuff. I hope that once I graduate I can turn this hobby into a career and my dream is to own a fabric shop and pattern company- big dreams but basically I want to do all things sewing. I have loved sewing from a young age but it is since starting this course at university and discovering the sewing community that I have really felt inspired and determined that I want to do this for the rest of my life.
